ASSESSMENTS

Psychological Assessments

Peita offers assessments for a range of developmental and educational concerns, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders, Intellectual Disability and Giftedness. These assessments can be utilised to support parents and schools in understanding the child’s needs and to further inform individual educational support.

What’s included in an assessment?

All assessments utilise validated tools and procedures, and include a parent consultation session, a comprehensive report, and a parent feedback session to discuss the outcome of the assessment and provide recommendations. Assessments will also usually involve consultations with schools and other professionals involved. Depending on the referral question, assessment tools will be chosen and the length of the assessment process determined at the initial consultation.

An assessment process can take up to three to four sessions, depending on the complexity of the referral request. Sessions typically go for approximately one hour.
